Clay is my language. Every curve tells a story.
The Artist
Edie's relationship with clay began in a 7th grade ceramics class — a spark that quickly grew into something more. She spent every chance she could in her summer camp's ceramics studio, returning to the wheel season after season. That early passion led her to pursue the craft independently in London, where a two-year studio membership gave her the space to deepen her practice. After relocating, she built her own setup at home — a compact garage studio where she throws and hand-builds, firing her pieces at her local high school.
Her work centers on wheel-throwing across all scales, with vases as her primary form. She is drawn to pieces that resist repetition — every vessel shaped with its own silhouette, its own quiet individuality. She loves experimenting with glaze combinations, often taking inspiration from what she discovers online and letting the kiln reveal something unexpected. Above all, it is the feel of clay and the meditative rhythm of the wheel that keep her coming back.
Beyond her studio, Edie has led community art projects using air-dry clay with people with special needs through Project Connect at Palm Beach Synagogue — sharing the grounding, joyful experience of making with others.
